Life is rare in the universe. It took billions of years to evolve. We did not discover the “life” as we know it, anywhere else. During 4,5 billion years, Earth has faced five mass extinctions. We are probably in the process of creating a sixth extinction with unconscious consumption of resources. So it is inevitable that, while destroying biodiversity, we will be destroying ourselves before even ensuring our survival on another planet or moon. What about sending Earth’s biomass to outer space, to ensure their survival along with ours? How about thinking about Noah's ark in space?
