The purpose of the project is to create a symbiosis between human and environment to maintain sustainability on flooded lands. According to the IPCC, one third of Bangladesh is exposed to the rising waters. Already more than 30,000 climate refugees are affected. Located on the water, this structure is built to respond to various environmental problems of the country. It guarantees safety, comfort and durability. Tekasa'i is composed of an inner part that corresponds to the habitat and an outer part that allows to do aquaculture and agriculture without soil. Tekasa'i is built entirely of bamboo and assembled according to local techniques. The project has been designed for Bangladesh as it is one of the most impacted country with climate changes. However TEKASA'I can be deployed in others deltas with similar environmental characteristics.
