This global evolutionary project is aimed at adapting coastal areas to the “after peak oil” world. Located in Fos-sur-Mer, Flamingopolis turns oil storage tanks into living areas surrounded by eco-concrete that would allow reconciling coastal ecosystems progressively: smokestacks become wind towers, pedestrian bridges assure circulation and the old town is linked to the new quarter by a suspended rail on rods that conduct electricity.
