Jodel is an artificial Sun project in the Ganymede orbit. It would allow to produce as much energy as the Sun generates for the Earth: 300W/m2.. The heart of Jodel is a nuclear fusion centre, protected by a parable, equipped with deuterium and tritium shuttles transporting the gas to the Jupiter, the largest hydrogen reserve of the Solar system after the Sun.

With the temperature on the surface rising, the ice will melt and in a century or so Ganymede will become a planet-ocean, while bacteria implanted in the water will lead to the atmosphere creation that will eventually make it possible to live on the planet.
