Littoral Biomimicry

  • Year2023
A biomimicry approach to resilient architecture, to help reinforce Tajur Biru coastal communities against the sea level rise

Littoral Biomimicry" is a revitalization project of the Tajur Biru coastal village. It embodies a resilient apparatus adopted from the morphology and physiology of intertidal creatures. Through this natural assimilation, it is possible to preserve the indigeneity of their stilted housings while reinforcing their structure using lateral suspensions, creating dynamic architecture that floats through the rising tides, and even creating sustainable systems for freshwater and biodiversity through ocean farms and cloud harvesting.
