RE-COLONISATION Between sea and sky, a new approach of the anthropized systems

  • Year2019
  • LocationMayotte

Mayotte has a rich and complex territory, stained by many years of colonialism and today by the climate change.

The Governor’s Residence is one of the architectural heritage of this colonial era. It symbolizes the failed dichotomy between nature and culture. This relationship must now be redesigned.

By using Mayotte hidden natural resource fullness, the project designs a anthropized system, a human and non-human ecosystem, in which the Men’s place on earth is constantly in question, either as the settler or as the settled.
