Totope, a fishing village, is suffering from coastal erosion and sea level rise. We offer a realistic solution to establishing a resilient village. Foundations inspired by mangrove roots are used to strengthen the structure. The design focuses on the local residents and their work, it seeks to maintain Totope's sustainability and use of the land until it sinks. To achieve the process, the project uses natural hydraulic forces that gradually elevate the structure by adapting it to sea level. Thus, it faces climate change while preserving the local lifestyle.
